A leading NDIS service provider in Austria is seeking an Operations Coordinator for Supported Independent Living (SIL). This role involves supervising support staff, ensuring compliance with NDIS standards, and empowering participants to maintain independence. Ideal candidates should have a Certificate IV in Disability Support and a valid driver's license. Ensuring all participant supports and programs align with the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
Mentoring support staff to align with a strengths-based & person-centred approach to provide support to people with disabilities.
Supervising Support Staff to assist participants with all aspect of daily life including personal care, attending appointments, engaging in the community, planning events and working towards a life they are happy with.
Developing support plans and planners to address meal preparation, community inclusion, daily support needs.
Monitoring documentation for accurate reporting and tracking of information. Identifying patterns/triggers and understanding the importance of this information to support participants to maintain their support requirements.
Empowering participants to make their own choices, to be involved in their day, to be active and grow their independence.
Advocating and creating meaningful professional relationships with participants their families and stakeholders.
Managing support staff in collaboration with leadership to implement professional development processes in alignment with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
Ability to identify gaps/risks, collaborate to find solutions and work transparently with leadership to implement changes and improve participant safeguarding.
Knowledge and understanding of incident management, reportable incidents, restrictive practices and safeguarding participants.
Open to feedback and can then convert that feedback into identifiable changes and growth.
Attention to detail, reliable and has drive, with an awareness of how individuals impact others in their teams and vice versa.
Open to new ways of doing what we have always done.
Current Full South Australian Driver's Licence (essential)
Certificate 4 Disability Support (Preferred) or a minimum Certificate III in Individual Support
Relevant NDIS / DHS checks and clearances in accordance with the role requirements (or willingness to obtain prior employment)
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR( or willingness to obtain prior employment)
Medication Administration Certificate (Face to Face Assessment based)
Current Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior employment)
Current Through Their Eyes Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
