Clera, a fast-growing AI-powered business communication SaaS, seeks an in-house SEO lead to own end-to-end SEO strategy and execution. You’ll drive growth from DACH to global markets, collaborating with Marketing, Website, and Engineering to optimize structure, content, and rankings.

You will manage a monthly SEO budget, guide external agencies, and own the holistic SEO roadmap with a hands-on approach to technical and content optimization.

About The Role

This is the in-house SEO lead role at a fast-growing AI-powered business communication SaaS company, sitting within the Marketing team and working closely with website and engineering. You will own SEO strategy and execution end-to-end, starting with DACH and expanding internationally, with the goal of ranking at the top of both traditional search and AI-generated results.

What You'll Do

• Build and execute a full SEO strategy across multiple markets, beginning with DACH and scaling internationally.
• Guide website and engineering teams on page structure, site architecture, crawlability, and technical SEO implementation.
• Lead keyword research and competitive analysis across traditional search engines and AI search tools such as ChatGPT and Perplexity.
• Write and commission SEO-optimized content to target and rank for priority queries.
• Manage a monthly SEO budget of approximately 20,000 to 30,000 EUR, including oversight of external agencies while retaining strategic ownership.

What We're Looking For

• 5 or more years of full-time SEO ownership, with measurable ranking improvements and organic traffic growth at scale; not SEO as a side responsibility.
• Fluent in both English and German, written and spoken.
• Proven track record executing SEO strategy across multiple international markets and languages beyond your home country.
• Hands-on technical SEO expertise covering page structure, site architecture, and collaboration with engineering teams on implementation.
• Experience managing SEO budgets and working with external agencies while maintaining in-house strategic direction.
• Strong copywriting skills, able to write compelling, well-ranking content, not just optimize it.
• Hands-on experience with website builders and CMS platforms such as Webflow, WordPress, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with AI search tools and how to optimize for AI-generated results.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: 65,000 to 100,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
