Job summary

Sokoni Kwetu Limited is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a remote EU project. You will lead agile ceremonies, coach teams, and collaborate with Product Owners to optimize delivery across distributed teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT, PSM II, SAFe Agilist, and strong experience in SAFe or Nexus frameworks, with a focus on data-driven improvements and transparent reporting.

Qualifications

• University Degree and at least 8 years of IT professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years as Scrum Master at SM2 level or above.
• Led production teams through full sprint cycles with planning, reviews, retrospectives and refinements.
• Data-driven improvements to raise velocity or reduce lead time.
• Experience coordinating cross-team work via Scrum-of-Scrums or PI Planning.
• Deep knowledge of Scrum Guide and Agile values; strong facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of systems-thinking and tailoring for complex environments.
• Experience with Agile metrics and dashboards for forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning.
• Ensure meetings stay productive, topic-focused and timeboxed.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage the backlog.
• Coach teams on empiricism, value-based backlog slicing, and incremental delivery.
• Track flow metrics and guide data-driven improvement efforts.
• Promote adoption of Agile standards, tools, and best practices.
• Identify and resolve impediments to team progress proactively.
• Foster empowered, self-organising teams and psychological safety.
• Ensure Definition of Done, quality gates, and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and Product Owners to provide delivery transparency.
• Use feedback and metrics to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
• Support teams using Azure DevOps, Confluence; experiment with new practices.
