Qualifikationen

UMIT TIROL is an internationally recognized university with a focus on Health Sciences, Life Sciences und Health Care Technologies.

The Institute of Public Health, Medical Decision Making and Health Technology Assessment (Head: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Uwe Siebert) of the Department of Public Health, Health Services Research and Health Technology Assessment is currently seeking to appoint a:

Senior Scientist / Post-Doc in the areas of Public Health, Health Sciences, or Health Policy & Education

to commence as soon as possible and initially limited to two years in full-time or part-time (100%, 75% or 50%); an extension is possible and is being sought.

The position is associated with the Horizon Europe projects (e.g., PARC, CATALYSE, PUREPOLIS) and other research projects in Public Health, Climate Change and Environmental Health and initially limited to two years. An extension is possible and is being sought.

Your tasks:
  • participation in the Institute’s national and international research projects in the areas of Public Health, Health Sciences and Health Policy with a focus on Climate Change and Environmental Health (e.g., CATALYSE, PARC, PUREPOLIS)
  • develop educational material and conceptualize training sessions in the context of climate change and health as well as environmental health, focused on a target group
  • independent development of research ideas, studies, and methodological approaches
  • conducting scientific analyses, including contributing to scoping reviews and systematic reviews
  • preparation of scientific publications
  • active contribution to applications for research funding
  • participation in teaching, for example, in the areas of Public Health and Health Data & Decision Science, the UMIT TIROL Academy Program, and in continuing education measures
Your profile:
  • completed university degree (doctorate or comparable degree) in public health, health sciences, health education, or a related field.
  • strong communication skills and the ability to translate scientific content into practice-oriented educational formats tailored to health sector audiences
  • ideally with experience in developing educational and training materials, with a focus on e-learning targeting (health) professionals and/or with a thematic focus on climate change and health or environmental health
  • good knowledge of epidemiology and quantitative methods in Public Health
  • good written and oral English language skills
  • a high level of motivation, analytical and conceptual thinking, initiative, and teamwork skills

The salary is based on the salary group scheme of UMIT TIROL and amounts to at least € 4.000,00 (full-time basis for postdoc). An overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
