The University of Vienna invites applications for a Senior Lecturer & Researcher in the Quantum Information Science and Quantum Computation group led by Univ.- Prof. Dr. Philip Walther.

The role focuses on experimental photonic quantum computing with quantum-dot single-photon sources in Vienna. You will engage in research, teaching and administration, publish internationally, and seek third-party funding. A Doctoral degree in physics and postdoctoral experience are expected, with strong English

Qualifikationen

  • Doctoral degree in physics required.
  • Postdoctoral experience in experimental quantum optics and quantum computation.
  • Proven research competence with international publications.

Aufgaben

  • Develop and strengthen an independent research profile.
  • Involve in research projects and studies.
  • Publish internationally and give presentations.
  • Lead project applications and fund-raising.
  • Teach courses as defined by the collective agreement.
  • Supervise bachelor, master, and PhD students.
  • Participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance.
  • Engage in department administration and research administration.
