Join in Vienna seeks a senior Python software engineer to build and maintain applications used by R&D, Production, and Quality. You will work hands-on, collaborating with embedded software, RF/DSP, and hardware teams to turn user needs into reliable software.

You will develop a Python-based RF measurement tool and contribute to lab tests, reports, and product development. The role emphasizes ownership, quality, and close collaboration across technical domains.

Qualifikationen

• At least four years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python skills for building and maintaining applications, libraries, or services.
• Experience taking ownership of an app: from user needs to release and support.
• Knowledge of application design, automated testing, logging, dependency management, and CI/CD.
• Systematic debugging across apps, OS, networks, and hardware.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical users; independent work style.
• Professional English.
• Active use of LLM-assisted development tools with proper review and responsibility.

Aufgaben

• Talk to users to understand requirements and translate them into practical software changes.
• Develop and maintain Python applications, libraries, and tests related to radar, communications, and antennas.
• Take responsibility for the path from source code to released, deployed, and supported application.
• Investigate problems spanning applications, OS, networks, configuration, and hardware.
• Improve existing software step by step without disrupting users.
• Collaborate with Quality, IT, and domain experts when needed.
• Document important technical decisions and operating procedures.
