We are seeking a Senior Python Backend Engineer to drive the development of an AI‑powered conversational backend for a major banking product within a regulated fintech environment. You will design and scale robust backend web services for complex conversational AI systems, bridging enterprise backend architecture with LLM application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, asynchronous web services using a clean‑architecture approach and dependency injection.
• Own OpenAPI‑based service design, including strict schema validation and data integrity protocols.
• Architect and optimize LLM‑based application workflows, including agent frameworks, advanced prompt engineering, and rigorous model output quality evaluation.
• Lead testing strategies using pytest, driving high code coverage and integration within automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Git/GitHub code reviews, mentor team members on clean code practices, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in modern Python (3.12+), advanced type hinting, and asynchronous programming with asyncio.
• Extensive production experience with FastAPI (or similar modern frameworks) and Pydantic for data validation.
