Job summary

RED Global is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement and run a corporate network across multiple sites in Vienna and beyond. You’ll work hands-on in data centers and on site, delivering LAN, Wi‑Fi and SD‑WAN with a Meraki‑style architecture.

You will require fluent German and English, CCNP or equivalent, strong routing/switching, 802.1X/RADIUS/NAC, SD-WAN/VPN, cloud networking, and the ability to manage 20+ sites in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent German and English, both spoken and written.
• Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification.
• Advanced switching and routing (STP/OSPF/BGP/VLANs) and LAN design.
• Hands-on experience with 802.1X and RADIUS/NAC.
• Strong SD-WAN and VPN experience, Meraki AutoVPN preferred.
• Firewall experience (Cisco/Fortinet or similar).
• Cloud networking knowledge (AWS or Azure).
• Experience managing multi-site environments (20+ sites).
• Comfort with physical infrastructure and structured cabling.
• Additional CCNP tracks or higher; Meraki/Fortinet/Juniper certs.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and support LAN, Wi-Fi and SD-WAN across multiple sites.
• Lead migrations from legacy platforms to Meraki or modern solutions.
• Troubleshoot critical incidents affecting the business.
• Manage 802.1X, RADIUS and NAC integrations and diagnose Wi‑Fi issues.
• Build and maintain site-to-site and remote access VPNs with third-party firewalls.
• Use templates and automation to prevent config drift.
• Install and maintain network gear in racks and manage cabling.
• Travel to nearby sites for installations and maintenance.

About the role

We’re recruiting for a client who needs a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement and run their corporate network across multiple sites. You’ll work on LAN, Wi‑Fi and SD‑WAN, with a strong focus on Meraki‑style solutions and hybrid architectures. This is a hands‑on role: you’ll be in the data centre and on site, as well as at your desk.

What you’ll do

• Design, deploy and support LAN, Wi‑Fi and SD‑WAN across a multi‑site, global environment
• Lead network migrations from legacy platforms (e.g. Catalyst and ASA) to Meraki or other modern solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical incidents that affect the business
• Manage 802.1X, RADIUS and NAC integrations, and diagnose complex Wi‑Fi issues
• Build and maintain site‑to‑site and remote access VPNs, working alongside third‑party firewalls
• Use templates and automation to keep configurations consistent and prevent drift
• Install and remove network equipment in racks, and patch and manage structured cabling
• Travel to nearby sites for installations, maintenance and troubleshooting

What we’re looking for

• Hands‑on experience with 802.1X and RADIUS/NAC
• Solid SD‑WAN and VPN experience, ideally Meraki AutoVPN
• Firewall experience (Cisco, Fortinet or similar), including segmentation and policy design
• Working knowledge of cloud networking (AWS or Azure)
• Experience managing multi‑site environments, ideally 20+ sites, and working in global organisations
• Comfortable with physical infrastructure, including racking equipment and structured cabling
• Additional CCNP tracks or higher
• Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper or similar vendor certifications

Based in Vienna, 5 days a week on site, with regular travel to nearby sites.
