Zusammenfassung

Vaxcyte is seeking a Protein Intermediates Sr Bioprocess Engineer to join the Manufacturing Science and Technology team in Visp, Switzerland. The incumbent will support microbial manufacturing from commercial readiness through PPQ and ongoing production at CMOs, overseeing polysaccharide intermediates for the vaccine portfolio.

The role requires leading fermentation, recovery, and purification operations, cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement and regulatory

Qualifikationen

• PhD or Master’s in bio/chemical engineering, microbiology, chemistry or biochemistry with 5+ years pharma/biotech.
• Experience with vaccine manufacturing operations preferred.
• Strong GMP knowledge and quality system understanding.
• Deep process engineering background in bacterial fermentation and purification.

Aufgaben

• Oversee GMP manufacturing of polysaccharide intermediates through CMOs.
• Support tech transfer, qualification, validation, and investigations.
• Lead investigations and CAPAs for polysaccharide processes.
• Drive continuous improvement and technology advancement.
• Author technical reports and regulatory submissions.
• Interface with cross-functional teams and external authorities when needed.
• Assist in CMO selection and supplier qualification.
• Present at meetings and possibly conferences.
• Support inspections by health authorities.
