Lonza seeks a Bioprocess Engineer to join our Visp, Switzerland production teams, contributing to the manufacturing of therapeutic proteins using mammalian or microbial systems. You will oversee USP or DSP units, ensure on-time production, and maintain GMP standards while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in biotech or related life sciences, with hands-on bioprocess experience and strong English communication; German is advantageous.

Qualifikationen

• Master's Degree or equivalent in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related Life Sciences; or Bachelor's with pharma production experience.
• Knowledge of USP or DSP units (e.g. bioreactors, chromatography).
• Biomanufacturing experience is advantageous; GMP experience is required.

Aufgaben

• Ensure operational activities for clinical and/or commercial manufacturing meet safety and quality standards.
• Act as functional lead for preparation, manufacturing execution, cleaning and changeover in the assigned area.
• Lead USP areas (e.g. seed train, main cultivation, or harvest) for therapeutic proteins in mammalian or microbial systems.
• Lead DSP areas (e.g. gain, polishing, or filling) for purification of therapeutic proteins.
• Responsible for processes or units for clinical and commercial manufacturing of BioConjugates like ADCs.
