Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Senior Medical Director to provide strategic medical and scientific leadership with deep domain expertise across therapeutic areas. You will influence early customer engagement, bid defenses, and ongoing consultancy through the R&D lifecycle.

The role requires MD with board certification in Cardiology, Endocrinology, or Nephrology, and a minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in pharma or CRO settings. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Exceptional business knowledge to drive results.
• At least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO setting with senior strategic responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work independently of the therapeutic area head.
• Lead strategic proposal development with the proposal team.
• Lead client proposal bid defense meetings as a medical director and subject matter expert.
• Act as consultant throughout the R&D lifecycle and clinical trials; provide standalone customer solutions.
• Formulate clinical development plans and lead the Center of Excellence strategy.
