Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning – Health Services

Mercy Health seeks an experienced and strategic leader to join our high‑performing Strategy & Planning team as Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning – Health Services. This pivotal role supports the development and delivery of Health Services Strategy and leads coordination efforts across Mercy Health’s Local Health Service Networks (LHSNs).

Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy & Planning, this role provides strategic leadership across Mercy Health’s health services portfolio. In the first six months, focus will include: overseeing the development of the Health Services Strategy (led by an external consultant) and coordinating across the two LHSNs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of the Health Services Strategy in partnership with an external consultant.
• Lead internal coordination and engagement across Mercy Health’s LHSNs.
• Support integrated planning and business performance across Health Services.
• Provide strategic advice and reporting to Executive and Board audiences.
• Contribute to key strategic initiatives and projects.

About You

• Postgraduate qualifications in health services management, strategy and planning, or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in complex organisational settings (e.g., public health, government, large NFPs).
• Strong commercial acumen and exceptional business writing skills.

• Ability to prepare high‑impact reports and business cases for Executive and Board audiences.
