dsm-firmenich in Austria is seeking a Senior Lab Technician to support bioprocess development, fermentation scale activities and downstream processing.

You will prepare media, run experiments, document results, maintain equipment, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifikationen

• Background in biotechnology, fermentation, bioprocessing or related technical discipline.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment and genuine interest in fermentation, downstream processing, and day-to-day lab operation.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance, quality standards, and maintaining accurate and reliable documentation.
• Ability to take responsibility, work independently, and effectively plan and deliver laboratory activities.
• Proactive mindset with drive to optimize processes and develop more efficient and sustainable ways of working.

As a Senior Lab Technician, you will play a key role in fermentation and downstream processing, supporting innovative R&D projects while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant laboratory operations. Your Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory-scale fermentation and downstream processing activities to support bioprocess development.
• Prepare culture media, laboratory equipment, and required materials for experimental workflows.
