We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to take technical ownership of the national systems that power Leader Computers — Australia's largest privately owned IT distributor.

Based at our Adelaide headquarters, this is a hands‑on, career‑defining opportunity to lead infrastructure design, reliability, and performance across 5 warehouses, 250+ staff, and 25 years of continuous growth.

You’ll be working at the intersection of virtualisation, networking, cybersecurity, automation, and cloud transformation — driving projects that make our systems faster, smarter, and more secure.

Your Impact

• Own the performance, uptime, and reliability of our national infrastructure
• Administer and optimise VMware/Hyper‑V, Fortinet firewalls, and Ubiquiti/Cisco networks
• Manage and enhance backup and DR systems (Veeam)
• Lead cloud and automation initiatives using Azure, Power Automate, and scripting tools
• Strengthen our cybersecurity posture through testing, prevention, and monitoring
• Collaborate closely with our Head of Development and senior leadership team on enterprise IT projects
• Continuously improve performance monitoring, IT ticketing, and internal SLAs
• Mentor and guide team members in best‑practice system administration

About You

You're an experienced Infrastructure or Systems Engineer who thrives in complex environments where reliability, speed, and security matter. You combine deep technical knowledge with curiosity, discipline, and pride in your work.

Essential skills:

• Strong background in VMware or Hyper‑V virtualisation
• Veeam or equivalent backup and disaster recovery experience
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ubiquiti or Cisco switching
• Power Automate, PowerShell, or other scripting experience
• Knowledge of SQL, Sophos, or 3CX systems
• Exposure to AI/automation projects

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
