Job summary

NXP Semiconductors NV in Gratkorn, Austria, seeks a Systems Validation Engineer to join a team of software and hardware experts. You will define and implement HW setups and lab environments, develop test frameworks, and design system test cases with test firmware and drivers for UWB-based automotive and industrial solutions.

You will execute and automate tests, debug issues, estimate deliverables, and contribute to risk-based test strategies while documenting results.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years professional experience in validation and testing.
• Embedded firmware development (test applications) in C.
• Experience in C# and/or Python.
• Good English writing and speaking skills.
• Good communication with peers and architects.

Responsibilities

• Definition and implementation of HW Setups and Lab Environments
• Definition and implementation of new features of test frameworks
• Definition and implementation of system test cases, test firmware and test drivers
• Execution and automation of system test cases; support of hardware and software experts while debugging identified issues.
• Debugging of system issues; root causing malfunctions; impact analysis
• Creating effort estimates for your own deliverables
• Contribution in risk-assessment based selection of test strategies
• Documenting and presenting own results
• Developing proof of concepts together with technical and non-technical experts
