Kapsch in Vienna, Austria is seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to design, develop and implement hardware components for ETC and ITS products across the full development lifecycle, from concept to industrialization.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop analog, digital, power and high-frequency circuits with EMC compliance in mind, create simulations and documentation, and support approvals, testing and maintenance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience in system and circuit design with EMC focus.
• Fluent in English (C1)
• German language skills are an advantage
• Experience with technical documentation and design specifications (requirements engineering)

Role Purpose

As a Senior Hardware Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing hardware components and products based on product requirements, architecture, and design specifications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle, from concept and design to verification and industrialization.

• Design and develop hardware components for ETC (electronic toll collection) and ITS (intelligent transportation systems), transforming complex product demands into innovative solutions
• Define and implement product requirements into hardware architecture and design specifications
• Develop advanced analog, digital, power supply, and high-frequency circuit designs, ensuring quality and performance
• Support approvals, industrialization, and maintenance to deliver exceptional hardware products
• Create simulations, algorithms, and software to validate and optimize hardware functionality
• Maintain comprehensive development documentation to ensure clarity and consistency throughout the product lifecycle

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Electronics, Hardware Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of proven professional experience in system and circuit design (designing, analyzing, and testing electronic circuits), with a focus on EMC-compliant design and testing
• Strong skills in hardware development (measurement, prototyping testing/simulations).
• Analytical thinking, a structured approach to problem-solving, and a passion for mastering new technologies and concepts independently
• Experience with technical documentation and design specifications (requirements engineering)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
• Fluent in English (C1)
• German language skills are an advantage
