A MiFID authorised and regulated digital assets broker based in Vienna, Austria. Assetera provides a range of digital asset financial services; from our decentralised, EU-wide regulated trading platform designed for real-world assets (RWA) on-chain, to our systematic B2B compliance engine for digital securities distribution and servicing.

Assetera’s core mission is in supporting the growth and adoption of tokenised securities across the financial markets, through the delivery of services across issuance, primary distribution, secondary trading, lifecycle management and custody services.

Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Back End Engineer to join our team and help build the next generation of decentralised financial applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in .NET, SQL & no-SQL DB flavours, with strong foundations in microservices & brokered messaging. You’ll play a key role in developing secure, scalable, and efficient blockchain solutions that deploy scalably across cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, secure microservices back end solutions in the Cloud
• Build and maintain Web3-enabled applications that interact with decentralised networks
• Develop and maintain best-in-class APIs w/ API gateway management, as well as leveraging brokered messaging to scale microservice messaging & interactions
• Architect and implement scalable microservices for blockchain applications
• Apply TDD and BDD methodologies to ensure code quality and maintainability
• Collaborate with web3/blockchain engineers, full stack engineers, product stakeholders, and DevOps to deliver integrated Web3 solutions
• Monitor and optimise applications for security, robustness, scalability, availability & performance
• Stay current with the latest technology trends, engineering best practice and contribute to architectural decisions

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience with .NET Core
• Solid foundations with microservices and brokered messaging solutions such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Expert in REST API design and implementation, and maintaining OpenAPI/Swagger specifications
• Solid experience with database technologies e.g. MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis
• Deep understanding of modern scalable microservice architecture design and implementation
• Ability to write and maintain comprehensive unit tests and apply behavior-driven development (BDD) practices
• Experience with container orchestration and provisioning services such as Docker & Kubernetes

Technical Skills Desired

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
• Experience steering or participating in a principal capacity in Agile/Kanban development practices
• Knowledge of blockchain technology, EVM and/or Solidity
• Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning automation technologies such as Terraform
