Job summary

Miba AG in Laakirchen, Austria, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data pipelines and platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decisions across the organization, focusing on data quality and governance.

Ideal candidates have several years in data engineering, strong Python/PySpark skills, and experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses or lakes, and Azure cloud services. Fluency in German and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python or PySpark.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Practical experience with data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, automated testing.
• Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international team.
• Fluent in German and English.
