Job summary

Open-Xchange Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to own the customer relationship for a major hosting account. You will work across the OX App Suite 8 stack, resolve complex issues, and translate operational needs into product improvements.

The role combines hands-on labs, reference configurations, and collaboration with product and development teams. The position emphasizes strong Linux/Kubernetes expertise, experience with mail infrastructure, and clear communication in English and German.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience with Linux-based server environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based containerized deployments and Helm tooling.
• Familiarity with mail infrastructure (IMAP/SMTP) & databases like MariaDB/MySQL.
• Proactive in troubleshooting distributed systems and compressing complex issues.
• Strong written English and German; customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer relationship through regular calls, on-site visits, and proactive communication.
• Build reference labs and generate reference configurations from them.
• Contribute to internal development of reference frameworks for OX App Suite 8.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues across the stack, escalating as needed.
• Translate customer feature requests into actionable input for product teams.
• Support customers through upgrades and feature rollouts; document solutions and workarounds.
• Occasional travel for customer meetings and internal events.
