5G Systems, a Vienna-based technology company within the Tipico Group, is seeking a SeniorBackend Developer (m/f/x) to design and implement high-performing Java-based services within a complex landscape. You will shape new tech stacks, maintain legacy systems, and drive projects end-to-end in a cloud-first environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and at least 5 years of software development experience, with a background in money transactions or FinTech-like domains.

Qualifications

• Education: You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and at least 5 years of professional experience in Software Development.

Responsibilities

• Design high performing Java-based services in a complex system landscape.
• Involve in the concept, design and implementation of modern software solutions.
• Contribute to new technology stack and maintain legacy systems.
• Lead software projects from draft to production.
• Document software architectures and share know-how.
• Mentor and coach junior team members; participate in code reviews.
