Job summary

BAWAG Group is seeking an Internal Audit – Business & Processes professional to lead audits focused on Corporate Banking and participate in broader audit initiatives. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, control assessment, and process improvements across domestic and international banking activities.

You will contribute to remediation, guidance for branches and central functions, and work within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field.
• CIA or equivalent certification desirable.
• Several years of experience in banking and/or internal audit with knowledge of banking regulations.
• Strong expertise in Corporate Banking products and processes (domestic and international).
• Certifications (e.g., CIA, or equivalent) are a plus.
• Excellent command of English and a collaborative, team-oriented style.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements with a focus on Corporate Banking and participate in audit teams.
• Assess compliance with regulatory requirements and evaluate internal control effectiveness.
• Develop remediation measures and validate closure of actions.
• Provide support to branch networks and central functions.
