Job summary

Scalable Capital in Vienna is seeking an Android Software Engineer to join a fast-growing fintech team. You will design and implement user interfaces that make complex financial matters accessible to users.

You will work with Kotlin, RxJava, Compose, and GraphQL, own the app lifecycle from ideation to Play Store, and continuously improve the UX. The role offers a dynamic, international team and opportunities to learn and grow.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field; or equivalent qualification.
• Strong interest in Android platform and UI/UX.
• Good communication and collaboration with engineers and product teams.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Work alongside a highly motivated team of software engineers and academics implementing change in the financial industry. Design and implement user interfaces that open complex matters like investing to users
• Be empowered to implement, improve, fix, suggest, and change anything you see that has the potential to improve the status quo, both technically and product-wise
• Build visually rich user experiences
• Experiment with new technologies to get the best out of the Android Platform
• Write clean, testable and well-documented code and treat security as a first class citizen
• Keep yourself up-to-date with respect to the technology landscape
• Own the full app lifecycle from ideation to delivery to the Play Store

Qualifications

• A University degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, natural sciences, ...) or a comparable qualification
• Exposure and/or interest in our tech stack: Kotlin, RxJava, Coroutines, Compose, Dagger and GraphQL API
• Strong analytical thinking, both in the technical and in the product domain
• Passion in delivering great UX and working with custom UI
• Excellent communication skills that are clear, concise, and targeted towards your audience - engineering, product, or other stakeholders
• Ability to quickly pick-up and adapt to changes in the Android framework
• Interested in other technology stacks
• Prior Fintech experience is not a requirement, but an asset. Ideally, you are interested in investing or already a customer of Scalable Capital
