SQUER in Vienna is seeking a Senior AI Solution Consultant to bridge business problems and AI-enabled solutions. You’ll structure messy client asks, decide what to solve first, and shape compliant, usable AI solutions without writing production code.

Lead with governance, define what AI should do, and prove outcomes. You’ll collaborate with product, engineering and compliance, and enable clients with reusable AI artefacts and templates.

Qualifikationen

• Several years in consulting, product or transformation roles, ideally in regulated industries, with a track record of driving decisions.
• Clear-eyed on where LLMs fit and where they do not, including failure modes and how to prove output correctness.
• You work with your own workflows, agents and skills and stay critical of what comes back.
• Fluent communication in German and English.

As Senior AI Solution Consultant you sit between the problem and the solution: you take a broad, messy client ask, structure it, decide what is worth solving, and shape the AI solution for it, one that holds up under regulation and that people will actually use. You don't write production code. You make sure the right thing gets built, that someone decides, and that it can be proven to work.

Your tasks

• Use Case Ownership: Take a broad, messy client ask through to a decision people stand behind, with the business value made explicit and the trade-offs written down.
• Problem Framing: Make competing asks comparable, decide what gets solved first, and put the reasoning on the table.
• Stakeholder Reality: Bring the people who ask for a solution and the people who will work with it behind one decision.
• AI Judgment: Draw the line between what AI should do and what it should not, and say what has to be measured for people to trust the result.
• Structured Intent: Capture the what and the why, so that engineers and AI agents can build the how.
• High-Stakes Facilitation: Design and run formats with senior stakeholders from product, engineering and compliance, producing alignment in the room.
• Rapid Prototyping: Put a working artefact in front of a stakeholder instead of a concept, using today's AI tooling.
• Client Capability: Build enablement formats, reusable AI artefacts and skills that client teams operate themselves after we leave.
• Governance Early: Bring classification, controls, auditability and cost implications into the picture at the start, not at the end.
• Multiplication: Turn what you learn into playbooks and templates your colleagues use in their own delivery.

Your qualifications

• Structured Thinking: You give shape to something vague, form a view early, and stay sharp when you go deeper.
• Product Thinking: Strong instinct for value and users, and you can say what a use case is worth before anyone builds it.
• Consulting Track Record: Several years in consulting, product or transformation roles, ideally in regulated industries, with topics you carried to a decision rather than only contributed to.
• AI Judgment: Clear-eyed on where LLMs fit and where they do not, on the failure modes, and on how to prove an output is correct. You work with your own workflows, agents and skills, and stay critical of what comes back.
• Technical Fluency: Confident in conversations on modern software delivery, LLMs, agents and RAG, without needing to build production systems yourself.
• Composure: You hold a position under pressure with senior people, and change it when someone brings the better argument.
• AI Governance is a plus: EU AI Act risk classification, human-in-the-loop, auditability, any exposure to DORA or GDPR/DPIA.
• Languages: Fluent communication in German and English.

We believe in transparent and fair compensation. For this role, the annual gross salary ranges between € 63.000 and € 75.000 – the exact placement depends on the seniority level we assess together during the process.
