Zusammenfassung

SQUER is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to plan and coordinate AI-enhanced development of digital initiatives for clients in Austria and beyond. You will lead architecture design and build state-of-the-art software systems, guiding teams in AI adoption and delivering robust solutions.

You will shape AI-driven SDLC implementations, work within agile SCRUM settings, and communicate openly as a team player and sparring partner, helping peers grow and improve.

Description

As Principal AI Engineer at SQUER it’s your job to plan and coordinate the AI-enhanced development of new digital initiatives for our clients and, by doing so, ensure project success. In the process, you will have the opportunity to lead the design of architectures as well as develop state-of-the-art software systems.

Your tasks

• driving solutionsin client projects and actively shaping SQUER with your knowledge.
• Lead our clients in theirAI adoption, develop their AI vision and target picture, and translate both into a concrete, prioritised transformation roadmap.
• You will support several teams by solving complex challenges of both frontend and backend development.
• You will be responsible for introducing or improving the AI-usage in the SDLC across the engineering teams of our clients and successfully deliver software solutions together.
• You can communicate openly and are a team player.
• You are actively involved in all phases of software development in an interdisciplinary manner and are happy to share your knowledge with your colleagues as a sparring partner and coach.
• You are an active member of mostly agile SCRUM teams and spread SQUER culturewith the aim of constant improvement.

Your qualifications

• Your experience and big-picture-thinking allows you to create solutions that generate a sustainable impact for our clients.
• You are a rolemodel in the usage of AI-powered tools (e.g., code assistants, LLM-based workflows) to amplify your productivity and quality and you are proficient in guiding teams in their AI adoption.
• You have several years of experiencewithin software architecture, cloud-native development and containerization (Docker or Kubernetes). You would like to deepen your knowledge in this field.
• You have solid knowledge of frontend and backend developmentand relevant trends within this area excite you.
• You have a hands‑on mentalityand are proficient in one or more programming languages in the Java ( \"Java\", Kotlin, Scala, Clojure, ...), Javascript ( \"Javascript\", Typescript) or cloud-native environment (Rust, Go, ...).
• You continuously improve the AI-adoption along the entire SDLC, resolve bottlenecks and feel passionate about enabling software teams in all their disciplines.
• Trainings and development of your skills are highly important to you. Moreover, you enjoy passing on acquired knowledge.
• You are fluent in English and German (written and spoken) in order to communicatein the best way possible with colleagues and partners.

We believe in transparent and fair compensation. For this role, the annual gross salary ranges between € 95.000 and € 105.000 – the exact placement depends on the seniority level we assess together during the process.
