You’ll be working with one of Australia’s leading and fastest-growing insurance brokers, recognised for their strong market presence, high-performing culture and commitment to delivering tailored client solutions.

This opportunity sits within a well-established Brisbane team and offers far more than a traditional portfolio management role. The business is seeking a highly capable Senior Account Manager to operate as a genuine second-in-command to the Branch Manager — someone who can provide leadership across the team while confidently managing complex corporate risks and key client relationships.

You’ll be trusted to take ownership of large, sophisticated accounts, support and mentor team members and play a key role in the continued growth and development of the business.

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of large SME, mid-market and corporate clients from end to end
• Take ownership of newly acquired complex accounts and key client relationships
• Provide strategic insurance advice and tailored solutions across general insurance product lines
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and key stakeholders
• Support, mentor and provide leadership across the broking and support team
• Contribute to portfolio growth, retention strategies and the broader leadership of the branch

We are looking for someone with:

• Tier 1 Broking Qualification and extensive experience managing complex commercial or corporate portfolios
• Strong technical broking capability across general insurance product lines
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor, influence and lead by example
• Well-developed insurer relationships and strong negotiation capability
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and client relationship skills
• A proactive, commercially minded approach with a genuine passion for client service and team success
