Hostaway is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for Bookineers to own guest-facing services like the guest portal and direct sales site builder. You will design, build, and operate fast, scalable backend systems in PHP and Go, driving extraction from the monolith and API accessibility for AI agents.

Collaborate with Product and Design to ship impactful features and improve performance. You will leverage AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality in a product-driven SaaS

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer
• Strong production PHP experience and Go proficiency
• Experience designing high-traffic, customer-facing systems
• Experience decomposing monoliths or extracting services
• Solid API design experience (REST, GraphQL)
• Comfortable using AI coding tools in daily workflow
• Proven experience in product-oriented SaaS teams
• Familiarity with Node.js and React is a plus

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and operate backend services in PHP and Go that power guest portal and site builder
• Drive extraction of services from the monolith with clear ownership and migration paths
• Collaborate with Product and Design to ship features that drive direct bookings
• Design APIs for agentic interfaces and AI agents
• Improve page speed and end-to-end performance with frontend peers
• Contribute to high-level architectural decisions for rapid delivery
• Leverage AI to accelerate code delivery using Claude tools
