Jobgether SRL, partnering with a Switzerland-based tech company, seeks a Microservices Engineer to design and build scalable back-end services using Go and Python. This remote-first role emphasizes API design, distributed systems, testing, and DevOps across global deployments.

You will collaborate with distributed teams, contribute to security practices, and help drive performance and observability improvements while supporting multi-region services.

Qualifikationen

• Strong software engineering experience in building scalable software.
• Proficiency with Python and/or Go.
• Experience designing and operating scalable services and systems software.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and service design principles.
• Experience with CI/CD, Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), and distributed systems.
• Professional English communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and software.
• Architect APIs and software for maintainability and evolution.
• Create automated tests to validate behavior and reliability.
• Develop fault-tolerant distributed applications and services.
• Contribute to API design, governance, and engineering standards.
• Improve scalability, performance, resilience, and availability of web services.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases and assess trade-offs.
• Apply modern DevOps across CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and tracing.
• Diagnose complex issues and implement high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to security practices including fuzzing and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams and cross-team initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership through design discussions and mentoring.
• Document engineering knowledge and best practices.
• Participate in international team events, with travel twice a year.
