Hitachi Rail Austria is seeking a Software Engineer for Dependable Systems to join the TAS Platform team. You will develop safety‑critical real‑time software and safe middleware, contributing to distributed systems, fault tolerance, and secure communication for railway applications.

You will design, implement, verify, and integrate features in a distributed, agile environment, collaborating with international teams. Fluency in English is required; German is beneficial.

Qualifikationen

• Completed education in Informatics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of C; C++ is beneficial.
• Experience with embedded real-time systems for safety and security applications.
• Strong Linux OS and development environment knowledge.
• Understanding of distributed consensus protocols and virtualized systems.
• Knowledge of Git.
• Good communication skills for distributed teams.
• Fluent English; German is beneficial.
• Working in an agile team.
