Job summary

Hitachi Rail Austria GmbH in Vienna is seeking a Software Developer with a focus on cybersecurity to join the ECMUX product development team for a safety-critical railway interlocking system.

You will design and implement peripheral components, contribute to the full development life cycle, and maintain CI/test automation while working in an international agile environment. The role offers up to 60% home office, flexible hours, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Technical education, preferably a Master’s in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with the full lifecycle of a software development project: requirements, design, development, module testing, verification, deployment, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the complete development life-cycle from requirements definition, design, implementation to unit testing and documentation.
• Maintain a strong focus on cybersecurity.
• Develop and maintain the CI/Test Automation pipeline.
• Implement safety-critical software.
• Work in an international agile team and cooperate with other business lines.
