Zusammenfassung

Viewpointsystem in Vienna is seeking an Embedded Video/Streaming Architect to lead real-time video performance on our embedded devices. You will own GStreamer pipelines and shape streaming architecture, collaborating closely with hardware and firmware teams to optimize WebRTC, WebSockets, HTTP, RTSP, and RTP for low latency.

Proficiency in Rust or C++ and deep knowledge of Linux Embedded (Yocto) are essential.

Qualifikationen

5+ years of hands-on experience with GStreamer in embedded environments.
Solid background in real-time audio/video streaming and low-latency networking.
Strong skills in Rust or C++, ideally for performance-critical embedded applications.
Deep familiarity with multimedia formats (MP4, H.264, AAC) and system-level streaming frameworks.
Good understanding of Linux Embedded, Yocto, and system optimization.

Aufgaben

Take full ownership of GStreamer pipelines and shape how video streaming runs on embedded devices.
Build and optimize performance for WebRTC, WebSockets, HTTP, RTSP, and RTP to achieve low-latency streaming.
Work hands-on with Embedded Linux (Yocto) to fine-tune throughput and system performance.
Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to maximize system performance and multimedia integration.
Help define and evolve streaming architecture to stay scalable, modular, and maintainable.
