Job summary

Hitachi Rail Austria GmbH is seeking a Software Project Manager for Railway Systems to lead the technical PM activities for next-generation interlocking control systems in an international team. You will manage milestones, scope and budget while handling safety-critical aspects of railway software and hardware integration.

The role requires strong German and English skills, a Master’s-level technical education, and at least 5 years in technical project management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience with technical project management for SW/SW-HW eng projects.
• Knowledge of safety critical systems or railway domain is advantageous.
• Proficient in project management tools and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Technical project management and coordination of next generation interlocking control systems development.
• Manage milestones, scope and budget for projects.
• Work within safety-critical systems domain.
• Identify risks, create mitigation plans and escalate as needed.
