Genetec, a global leader in video surveillance software, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for its cloud-based work management solution. Join an agile team in our Vienna campus-style office three days per week to drive quality from planning to release and ensure a robust user experience across web and mobile apps.

You will design and execute manual and automated tests using Playwright or Cypress, analyze defects, and collaborate with developers and product managers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software quality assurance experience in Agile.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, initiative-taking and quality-focused.
• Solid knowledge of QA processes and test management tools.
• Experience with automated testing using Playwright or Cypress.
• Experience with AI-powered testing and modern workflows.
• Attention to UI consistency and user experience.
• Familiarity with browser dev tools and SQL basics.
• Clear English communication with developers and product teams.
• Growth-oriented mindset with openness to feedback.

For our latest product, an innovative cloud-based work management solution, we are looking for game-changers, big thinkers and doers who are ready to join our journey as Quality Assurance Engineer. We are a passionate and entrepreneurial group of software enthusiasts, aiming to revolutionize security operations. Our new solution is taking us beyond Genetec's core market, deeper into our customer's day to day. We have been working closely with trusted development customers that are using our beta-platform in production already and are now getting things ready for a general market release.

What your day will look like

• Be an integrated part of an agile software development team and contribute to quality from planning to release.

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for web and mobile applications.

• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing.

• Analyze defects, identify root causes, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

• Investigate customer-reported issues, reproduce problems, analyze logs and application behavior, and collaborate with developers to identify root causes and drive resolution.

• Proactively identify quality risks, drive improvements, and help shape testing processes and quality standards within the team.

• Participate in feature planning and refinement discussions to ensure quality is considered from the start.

About you

• Experience. You have 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance within an agile environment.

• Problem Solving. You are an analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ownership. You take initiative, proactively solve problems, and continuously look for ways to improve product quality and team practices.

• Process-oriented. You have solid knowledge of QA processes, test design techniques, and test management tools.

• Automation. You have programming experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and hands-on experience with frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.

• AI & Modern Testing. You are comfortable using AI-powered tools to improve testing and automation workflows.

• User Experience Focus. You have an eye for detail and care about UI consistency, usability, and overall user experience.

• Technical Skills. You are familiar with browser developer tools and have basic SQL knowledge.

• Communication. You communicate clearly in English and collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

• Growth-oriented. You are curious, eager to learn, and open to feedback.
