QC Coordinator

Full Time

As our valued QC Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Salisbury Workshop, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting M2P’s ability to secure impactful projects—driving our continued success and growth as an industry leader.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Coordinate welder assignments in collaboration with the Production Supervisor.
  • Manage welding sequences in line with approved WPSs and industry best practices.
  • Ensure all required destructive and non‑destructive testing is carried out for procedure qualifications, welder certifications, and production welds, in accordance with engineering designs and relevant codes/specifications.
  • Oversee the identification, QC documentation, storage, and handling of welding consumables, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Solid working knowledge of weld procedures in both structural steel and piping workshop environments.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 3834 standards, with experience in maintaining accreditation.
  • Familiarity with AS 5131 (Construction Category 3) considered an advantage.
  • Proven ability to conduct QA audits on internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Skilled in identifying gaps in existing weld procedures and developing new procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Hold an IWI‑S or CSWIP Welding Inspection qualification.
  • Keen interest in progressing toward a Cert 10 Welding Supervisor qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Capable of managing conflicting priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive team player with strong problem‑solving skills and a hands‑on approach.
