Ribbon Bio is seeking a proactive and dedicated candidate with strong growth potential to join our team as a Production Engineer. This position plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing of molecular biology reagents and DNA products.

Tasks
  • Execute production protocols for molecular biology reagents and DNA products using automated systems and established work instructions and batch manufacturing records.
  • Adhere to Ribbon Bio safety laboratory operational policies.
  • Support and maintain automated production equipment, including robotic workstations and liquid handling systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment performance, identifying and resolving technical issues or abnormalities.
  • Perform quality control tests and analyses to ensure product integrity, purity, and functionality.
  • Participate in disposing of laboratory waste and record incidents according to approved Safety Procedures; troubleshoot and identify opportunities to improve safety.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including batch records, inventory logs, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Conduct validation and qualification of equipment and production processes in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and consumables; coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and cross-functional teams—including R&D, automation, and quality assurance to support platform development and process improvements.
  • Participate in technology transfer initiatives and contribute to scaling production capabilities.
Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related life sciences.
  • Alternatively, completion of a technical training program in laboratory sciences or biomanufacturing.
  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (pipetting, reagent preparation, DNA/RNA handling).
  • Strong attention to detail in maintaining batch records, SOPs, and WI’s.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for documenting processes and reporting issues.

Employment type: full-time (40 hours/week)

Availability: We expect to fill the position as soon as possible.

This position offers working time: from 7:00 am until 15:30 pm; from 11:30 am until 20:00 pm. Schedules are planned ahead to help you organize your time comfortably.
