Speech Processing Solutions in Vienna is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the hardware portfolio roadmap, align with our software ecosystem, and drive market-relevant innovations.

You will work closely with hardware engineers, perform customer discovery, and manage end-to-end lifecycle from concept to launch, including pricing and portfolio performance. Fluency in German and English is required.

• At least 4 years of product management experience with physical products, ideally medtech/healthtech or voice productivity solutions.
• Strong startup or scale-up background with can-do energy to build things from scratch and move fast.
• Ability to communicate at eye level with hardware developers and translate requirements for hardware and software teams.
• Structured, analytical mindset with a drive to engage with users and gather real insights.
• Proven track record of driving innovation and leading initiatives rather than waiting for them.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.

• Drive innovation by identifying new form factors, technologies, and device categories for revenue growth.
• Engage with customers and partners—visit, discover, and bring customer realities into the roadmap.
• Prioritize hardware initiatives considering value, cost, manufacturability, certification, and feasibility.
• Collaborate with Hardware Engineering to translate market needs into clear requirements.
• Ensure hardware and software evolve as one product experience in alignment with Software Product Managers.
• Manage full product lifecycle from concept to launch, ramp-up, optimization and portfolio performance.
• Create roadmaps, business cases, and reports; coordinate roll-out with Sales, Marketing, and Support.
• Serve as internal product expert and ambassador for the hardware portfolio.

Are you an experienced Product Manager who loves turning real user needs into devices that feel intuitive, innovative, and built to last?

At Speech Processing Solutions, we build speech recognition and voice productivity hardware and software solutions that help professionals in law, healthcare, and beyond work smarter and more efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the SPS hardware portfolio, aligned with SPS business goals, our software ecosystem, and market needs
• Drive innovation: challenge the status quo of our portfolio, identify where new form factors, technologies, and device categories can open up new revenue streams
• Get close to customers and partners — visit them, run discovery, attend trade fairs, and bring their reality back into the roadmap. Proactive, hands‑on user centricity is the core of this role
• Define and prioritize hardware initiatives, balancing customer value, cost, manufacturability, certification and regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility
• Work with Hardware Engineering at eye level: translate market needs into clear requirements, and understand enough of the technology to have a real conversation about trade‑offs
• Ensure hardware and software evolve as one product experience, in close alignment with the Software Product Managers
• Manage the full product lifecycle — from concept and business case through launch, ramp‑up, optimization and structured phase‑out — including pricing and portfolio performance (revenue, margin, adoption)
• Create roadmaps, business cases and product reports, and present them internally and externally
• Coordinate the roll‑out of new products and features together with Sales, Marketing and Support, and ensure a successful market launch
• Act as internal product expert and ambassador for the hardware portfolio, building alignment across stakeholders

What You Bring

• At least 4 years of product management experience with physical products, ideally in medtech, healthtech, or voice productivity solutions. Experience with dictation hardware is the ideal case
• Alternatively: a strong startup or scale‑up background with the can‑do energy to build things from scratch and move fast
• Enough technical understanding — or the demonstrated ability to grasp hardware quickly — to communicate at eye level with hardware developers
• A structured, analytical mindset combined with the drive to get out of the building and talk to users
• A proven track record of driving innovation and product discovery — someone who leads initiatives rather than waits for them, and energizes a team around a clear direction
• Ability to translate complex user needs into clear product decisions and priorities
• Strong stakeholder management across technical, commercial and operational partners
• Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
