Jobbeschreibung
Principal Advisor - Risk & Compliance | 12-month FTC

If you're looking to step up from a senior administrative or compliance support role into a position with greater breadth, exposure, and influence - this 12-month FTC could be the perfect opportunity.

I'm partnering exclusively with Titles Queensland to appoint a Principal Advisor within Risk & Compliance into their high-performing Governance & Compliance team.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, you'll play a key role in supporting the management and continuous improvement of Titles Queensland's frameworks for risk, compliance, resilience, and internal audit. You'll work closely with senior leaders, department heads, and cross-functional teams to enhance the organisation's risk maturity and drive practical, business‑aligned solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of risk and compliance frameworks, tools, and reporting processes.
  • Assisting with the coordination of internal audit programs and risk committee meetings.
  • Providing desktop publishing and presentation support for Board and committee packs.
  • Reviewing risks and control effectiveness and preparing summary insights.
  • Partnering across multiple departments to identify, assess, and manage risk.
  • Supporting resilience and incident management initiatives as part of Titles Queensland's broader governance agenda.

This is a 12-month fixed‑term contract (with strong potential for extension) offering exposure to executive stakeholders, the Head of Risk, CFO, and the Corporate Management Team.

About you

You're an adaptable professional who thrives in fast‑paced, collaborative environments. You might come from a senior administrative, paralegal, project, or compliance coordination background and are ready for a step up into a more technical and strategic role.

You're naturally curious, quick to learn, and enjoy solving problems. You build rapport easily and are comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders — from senior leaders to peers across the business.

To succeed, you'll bring:

  • A foundational understanding of risk and compliance principles (e.g. risk assessment, controls, or legislative obligations).
  • Strong organisational and document management skills (PowerPoint and Excel proficiency a must).
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • A self‑starter attitude — you enjoy working independently and finding solutions.
  • The confidence to engage across departments and influence through collaboration.

Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications in Business, Law, or a related field will be highly regarded.

What's in it for you

  • Career growth: Gain hands‑on experience across enterprise‑wide risk, compliance, and resilience frameworks — the ideal next step toward a Risk Advisor or Compliance Lead role.
  • Exposure: Work directly with the CFO and senior leaders, with visibility across a broad risk portfolio (financial, operational, WHS, psychosocial, and strategic).
  • Flexibility: Hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 WFH) with a genuine "get the work done your way" culture.
  • Supportive leadership: Join a diplomatic, coaching‑focused leader who empowers his team to learn, contribute, and grow.
