The Austrian Archaeological Institute is Austria's largest research institution in the field of archaeology and ancient studies. We study human history from the Quaternary period to modern times, taking into account material archaeological sources and the written tradition.
The successful candidate will work within the framework of the FWF-funded project “Mining and Dining” in the first 18 Months for 15 and in the last six months for 30 hours a week as an Archaeobotanist.
The position will be supervised by Andreas G. Heiss and Kerstin Kowarik and starts in December, 2025 and is advertised for 24 months. The annual full-time gross salary for this position is € 52.278,38, according to the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW).
