Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the DarTwin project at Johannes Kepler University Linz. The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct autonomous research within the framework of the DarTwin project
  • Participate in joint research projects focused on Digital Twins, model-driven engineering, simulation, and software modelling
  • Collaborate with international partners at the University of Antwerp
  • Publish and present scientific results in journals and at international conferences
  • Supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s theses
  • Develop software tools, modelling workflows, and simulation pipelines relevant to Digital Twins

Qualifications

  • Required: Doctorate/Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computational Modelling, or a closely related field
  • Knowledge of model-driven engineering, digital twins, software modelling, simulation, or data-driven methods is an advantage
  • Experience with software development (Python, Java, or similar), modelling languages/tools or simulation frameworks is highly desirable
  • Very good command of English (spoken and written) (C1 level)
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an international team
  • Strong publication record or demonstrable software/tool contributions
