The University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the field of mitochondrial membrane protein function. Starting 30 September 2026, the successful candidate will pursue funding opportunities and contribute to advancing biophysics research within our department.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in biophysics, physics, biochemistry or biotechnology.
• Experience in production and analysis of recombinant membrane proteins.
• Experience in electrophysiological methods.
• Dissertation in English; German knowledge at least B2.
• Experience teaching Physics/Biophysics.
• Experience with fluorescence and confocal microscopy; isotope methods a plus.

Aufgaben

• Independent research on mitochondrial membrane proteins and participation in cooperative projects.
• Teach students of veterinary medicine and biomedicine (physics/biophysics).
