Qualifikationen

• PhD in biology or related field required.
• Strong publication record in polymicrobial infections, host–microbe interactions, or related fields.
• Experience with genetic engineering of bacteria (cloning, mutagenesis, libraries).
• Experience with Drosophila melanogaster to study host defense or interactions (desirable).
• Experience with sequencing-based approaches (desirable).
• Didactic aptitude for teaching in Microbiology/Molecular Biology.
• Independent, reliable, self-driven work style.
• Outstanding English written and spoken skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to publish findings internationally.

Aufgaben

• Conduct independent research in host–microbe and microbe–microbe interactions in a Drosophila model.
• Collaborate with core facilities and established research groups.
• Contribute to teaching and supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses and dissertations.
• Assist with organizational and administrative tasks.
