The University of Vienna invites applications for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in the Atmospheric Transport Processes group within the Department of Meteorology and Geophysics. The position focuses on developing and applying the FLEXPART model to study transport of greenhouse gases and pollutants.

You will conduct independent research, contribute to proposals, supervise BSc/MSc theses, and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences or a related field.
• Strong programming skills.
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
• A good team spirit and collaboration.
• Very good command of English.

Aufgaben

• Maintain and further develop the FLEXPART model.
• Conduct research within the group’s interests using FLEXPART.
• Write project proposals and support third‑party funding applications.
• Provide scientific and technical support to team members and students.
