Zusammenfassung

nyra health and its nyra labs team are looking for a Researchers in Post Training to shape how speech models behave after pretraining. You will develop post-training methods, curate high-quality data, and drive evaluation to ensure reliable performance in clinical contexts.

The role blends research with engineering ownership, taking ideas from hypothesis through rigorous experimentation to release, with a hybrid work model in Vienna.

Qualifikationen

• Practical experience with fine-tuning, preference optimization, RLHF, distillation, alignment, or related methods.
• Designs evaluations and diagnoses complex model behavior across data, training, and inference.
• Produces robust research with reproducible results and clear methodology.

Aufgaben

• Post-training methods: develop and test approaches including supervised fine-tuning, preference optimization, distillation, feedback-driven learning, and RL where useful.
• Training data: curate, annotate, generate synthetic data, and improve data quality for models.
• Model behavior: improve instruction following, transcription, uncertainty handling, multilingual performance, and resistance to hallucinations.
• Evaluation: build benchmarks and failure taxonomies to reveal genuine improvements.
• Experimental systems: implement, debug, and scale training/evaluation pipelines with reproducibility in mind.
• Specialized models: adapt foundation models to specific speech and clinical use cases.
• Open releases: contribute to publications, model releases, datasets, and technical reports.
