About the Role

As the Operations Centre Manager, you will foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation across RFDS Victoria's Operations Centre Team to deliver efficient, high‑quality transport services. You will drive continuous improvement and translate strategic plans into effective operational frameworks, while supporting budgeting, performance reporting, and external audits and accreditation processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and manage Operations Centre Officers to achieve performance targets and deliver high‑quality service
  • Oversee real‑time transport operations, resolving service disruptions and ensuring operational continuity
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve client experience and maintain high standards of customer service
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, patient confidentiality and regulatory requirements
  • Manage transport and patient booking systems and software for booking, dispatch and vehicle tracking
  • Drive continuous improvement through internal reviews, innovation and system refinement
Success Profile and Benefits
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, business, operations, logistics or emergency management
  • Minimum five years’ experience in operations management within a control centre, non‑emergency medical transport, healthcare or similar environment
  • Experience with rostering systems and industrial instruments (e.g., Enterprise Agreements)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a high‑performing team
  • Postgraduate qualification in management or leadership (desirable)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care requirements (desirable)
  • Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Driver Licence, National Police Check and the right to work in Australia
