IAEA - International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna seeks a consultant to provide technical support for nuclear security of materials and facilities. You will lead physical protection upgrade projects at reactors, develop guidance and publications, and support capacity building with trainings and expert meetings.

The role requires advanced degrees, 5+ years in safety or security, and strong English communication.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in nuclear engineering, physics, chemistry or related field.
• Minimum five years in safety, security or nuclear engineering.
• Experience with nuclear security frameworks and facility security systems.
• Knowledge of various nuclear power plant technologies
• Excellent oral and written English.

Aufgaben

• Act as technical specialist for physical protection upgrades at reactors.
• Provide technical input to other physical protection upgrades for Member States.
• Develop technical specifications, work plans and reports for protection upgrades.
• Procure and supply physical protection laboratory equipment for NSTDC.
• Contribute to capacity building through training, workshops and seminars.
• Develop training materials on nuclear security topics.
• Plan and support consultancy meetings, workshops, training courses and technical meetings.
