Overview

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences aims to strengthen its research in chemoinformatics‑supported medicinal chemistry for the design and synthesis of potential drug candidates. This temporary replacement position is for a Ph.D. scientist with expertise in chemoinformatics, medicinal chemistry, and computer‑assisted drug design.

The role offers a creative working atmosphere, flexible working hours, and an adequate starting salary.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct own research projects in the field of computer‑assisted drug design.
  • Publish research findings in English‑language journals.
  • Support ongoing research projects in the department with your expertise.
  • Independently hold courses in accordance with the collective regulations.
Qualifications
  • Completed doctoral/PhD studies in chemistry, pharmacy or related fields.
  • Excellent knowledge in computer‑aided drug design and medicinal chemistry.
  • Publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
  • IT/scripting skills (e.g. programming).
  • Preparation of a publication‑ready habilitation.
  • Knowledge in Computational Medicinal Chemistry, Chemoinformatics, and Molecular Modeling.
  • Excellent knowledge of English (C1) and German.
  • Team player with high social/communication skills.
  • High resilience and ability to deliver presentations and publications in English.
