Lam Research in Villach, Austria, invites an experienced engineer to design, develop, modify and integrate computer-controlled electro-mechanical systems for automation of manufacturing tasks and equipment validation.

You will create test specifications, build physical models in MATLAB/Simulink and run simulation studies to support customer and program development. Strong communication in English and independent, detail-oriented work are essential.

Qualifikationen

• FH or University degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, telematics or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
• Expertise in Matlab & Matlab/Simulink is mandatory.
• Expertise on physical modelling to set up simulations is required.
• Understanding of physical system behavior and the related system theory.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Deep technical understanding and good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and focus on detail with changing priorities.
• Professional presentation skills

Aufgaben

• Create test specifications for step response tests and perform related data evaluation
• Creation of physical models within Simulink
• Perform simulation studies for customer & program development requests
• Present relevant material in design, and project reviews
• Support closed loop control designs to meet e.g. tighter flow or temperature specifications and evaluate its performance
• Drive root cause analysis in case of customer escalations
