Job summary

The g2 Recruitment–Vienna hydrogen facility project seeks an experienced Mechanical QA/QC Supervisor to oversee all mechanical quality activities during construction on-site in Vienna, Austria. The role focuses on piping systems, welding, mechanical installation, inspections, and documentation compliance.

You will supervise construction quality, coordinate with contractors, review welding docs and NDT reports, and ensure adherence to project ITPs and international standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical QA/QC on large industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping installation, welding activities, and mechanical equipment installation.
• Experience with QA/QC documentation and turnover dossiers.
• Ability to work in a multicultural project environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor mechanical construction quality activities on site.
• Oversee piping installation, fabrication, and welding works performed by contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and applicable codes and standards.
• Review welding documentation, WPSs, PQRs, welder qualifications, and NDT reports.
• Coordinate mechanical inspections and witness testing activities.
• Conduct quality audits, site inspections, and punch-list management.
• Ensure mechanical completion dossiers and quality records are maintained.
• Interface with construction management, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
• Identify and report non-conformances, drive corrective/preventive actions to close-out.
• Support turnover and handover activities to commissioning and operations teams.
