GE HealthCare is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer to design and develop the next generation of ultrasound consoles. You will own mechanical design across the product lifecycle, from concept to field support, collaborating with diverse teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical product design and development preferred.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop next-generation ultrasound systems and subsystems.
• Align requirements and design decisions with stakeholders across functions and locations.
• Develop mechanical concepts for system architecture, enclosure, structural elements, thermal management, and serviceability.
• Own packaging design, including component integration, space optimization, manufacturability, and transport robustness.
• Create and maintain mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, tolerance analysis, design documentation, and reports.
• Plan and execute mechanical verification and validation activities, including tests and documentation.
• Assess design risks and support design reviews, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure designs are producible, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Support cross-segment alignment of mechanical design methods, standards, interfaces, and best practices.
• Provide end-to-end technical ownership from design through field support.
• Communicate technical status, risks, decisions, and recommendations clearly to project teams and leadership.
