Overview

As a Design Engineer (f/m/x) at Anton Paar, you help develop precise analytical instruments by designing parts, running simulations, building prototypes, and contributing innovation and hands-on spirit to the team.

Responsibilities
  • Design and development of individual components and assemblies up to complete measuring instruments
  • Creation of production-ready drawings and maintenance of master data
  • Assembly, verification, and optimization of prototypes to ensure optimal functionality
  • Close coordination with mechanical manufacturing, procurement, development, assembly, service, and product management to efficiently implement innovative solutions
  • Supporting the transition from prototype to series production as well as providing technical support for series solutions with a high level of personal responsibility
  • Collaboration with development teams from other international locations within the Anton Paar Group
Qualifications
  • Completed higher technical education (HTL, FH, TU) in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
  • Solid knowledge of materials science, mechanical design, and manufacturing techniques
  • Experience in production-oriented design (turning, milling, sheet metal processing, etc.), as well as a basic understanding of mechatronic aspects, is desirable
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Creo or similar systems
  • Enthusiasm for measurement technology and sensor systems, as well as enjoyment of creative problem-solving
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Independent, precise, and quality-oriented working style
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
