INNIO Group in Tirol, Austria offers a full-time internship in materials or mechanical engineering for at least six months starting October 2026. The base pay is at least EUR 2,698.59 gross per month (14 payments).

You will gain familiarity with Internal Combustion Engines, perform metallurgical sample preparation, and learn professional report writing and presentation while exploring materials testing and wear characteristics in a global, international environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of science in materials or mechanical engineering (Materials preferred).
• Good knowledge of material science, primarily metallic materials.
• Familiarity with material testing methods.
• Enthusiasm and basic knowledge about internal combustion engines.
• Ability to work in a global matrix organization.
• Good communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite.

• Working on numerous material related projects on gas engine components.
• Metallurgical sample preparation.
• Support parts investigation and wear characteristics testing.
• Planning and executing material tests.
• Preparation of reports and result findings.
• Literature research for background / supporting data.
